Resolved Question: Great places to visit in Japan!?

I'm travelling to Japan in April of this year and was wondering of some really good places to visit! I'm planning on starting at Tokyo and working my way down to Osaka but I'm only there for 12 days so I want to do as much as possible! I heard there are lots of Spring Festivals going on during April? If so do you know where I could attend one/some?
